The province is putting more than $1 million into the repairs for the Kinsmen Sherbrook Pool.
The pool was closed in 2012 over safety concerns with the facility’s 80-year-old structure.
The City of Winnipeg and Kinsmen had already committed $2.7 million to fix and re-open the pool by 2016.
Repairs will be done to the pool's roof, support beams, pool tank, electrical and fire alarm systems. The renovations will also include upgrades to the change rooms.
