2021 Federal Election
Larry Maguire, who had represented the riding since 2013 for the Conservative Party of Canada, won re-election with nearly 60 per cent of the vote.
Maguire announced he would not be running for re-election in 2025, citing health concerns. Grant Jackson, the former MLA for Spruce Woods, has resigned from his provincial post and will run for the Conservatives.
History
The riding has been represented in the House of Commons since 1953 when the former Brandon and Souris ridings merged.
With the exception of 1993 to 1997, when Glen McKinnon held the seat for the Liberals, the riding has been represented by the Progressive Conservatives or the Conservative Party since its creation.
Boundaries
Communities in the riding include Brandon, Souris, and Killarney.

Demographics
According to Statistics Canada data from 2021, the riding has a population of89,812, a 1.9 per cent increase from 2016.
