Hands on training on the Detroit River will be taking place Saturday and Sunday, with naval reservists getting some hands on experience.
Exercise Border Sentinel will see the reservists training on their emergency response skills, making sure that they’re ready to support local emergency responders and authorities in the event of a natural disaster.
The exercise will include Windsor Police, Lasalle Police, Lasalle Fire Department, Amherstburg Fire Department, Windsor-Essex EMS, US Coast Guard, RCMP and Canadian Coast Guard Auxiliary.
There is no danger to public safety.
