Tim Hortons’ Smile Cookies will return in just a few days.

Chloe Di Pasquale is the general manager at the Tim Hortons location in Lasalle at 5775 Malden Rd.

Di Pasquale is encouraged by the ongoing support and generosity of the Tim Hortons clientele

“We had a kickoff event [Thursday] and all of our regulars were asking, ‘Can we buy cookies today?’” said Di Pasquale. “So, I feel like Smile Cookies really brings out … the generosity in the community. And I think just putting the smile on the cookies makes them taste a little bit better, too.”

All the proceeds from this Tim Hortons will benefit two local charities.

This year, Hiatus House and We Care For Kids are the two chosen recipients.

The former is a haven for women and their families who have experienced partner violence and abuse.

The latter is an organization dedicated to improving pediatric healthcare in Windsor Essex by providing vital equipment and resources to keep children close to home.

Smile Cookies ($2) will be on sale at all Tim Hortons locations from April 28 to May 4.

Last year, the Smile Cookie campaign raised $18.8 million dollars nationally for charity organizations and causes.
