The Chatham-Kent Public Library (CKPL) has gotten rid of its late fees on most adult prints.
As of Feb. 1, books, magazines, and book club kits can all be borrowed with no late fees attached for taking them out too long.
CKPL said this is in an effort to increase access to reading and learning. However, things like express reads, video games, and puzzles will still have late fees applied.
