Police in Delta, B.C., are searching for a hit-and-run driver after a boy was reportedly struck by a car and sent to hospital with minor injuries on Wednesday.
A statement from the Delta Police Department says the young male pedestrian was crossing 112 Street and Bridlington Drive outside of Burnsview Secondary School just before 3 p.m. when he was struck by a black vehicle travelling south on 112 Street.
“The black vehicle failed to stop and continued driving southbound on 112 Street,” the statement said.
Investigators are appealing to the driver to come forward and speak with officers about the incident.
Police are also asking witnesses or those with surveillance video from the scene to contact the Delta Police Department at 604-946-4411 and quote file number 2025-7255.
