Mounties in Chilliwack say they have dismantled “a significant drug trafficking network in the Fraser Valley.”
With help from the Abbotsford Police Department, Indigenous Policing Services and the Lower Mainland Integrated Emergency Response Team, the Chilliwack RCMP conducted “a co-ordinated police operation” on Jan. 21, the detachment said in a news release Tuesday.
On that date, the involved agencies executed four search warrants – two at homes in Abbotsford, one at a home in Chilliwack and one at a home in Agassiz – police said.
During the searches, police seized “a substantial quantity of illicit substances,” along with vehicles and cash, according to Chilliwack RCMP.
The detachment said investigators seized 1.2 kilograms of fentanyl, 107 grams of cocaine, 365 millilitres of “liquid cocaine,” three vehicles and more than $51,000 in cash.
Four people were arrested, but all four have since been released pending further investigation, police said.
