A man who drove himself to the police station in Abbotsford, B.C., early Sunday morning failed a breathalyzer and had his vehicle impounded, according to authorities. “It’s not every day that an impaired driver brings himself directly to a police station,” the Abbotsford Police Department said in a social media post about the incident. The 42-year-old arrived at police headquarters around 2 a.m. to report that his cell phone had gone missing after he left a bar in an Uber earlier, the department’s post said. “While at the station, one of our patrol officers observed the man’s truck being driven on the sidewalk within the AbbyPD parking lot,” the post from the department said. “The officer approached the driver after he exited the vehicle and immediately noted signs of alcohol impairment.” The driver was handed a 90-day driving ban and his pickup truck was impounded for 30 days.
