B.C. RCMP seek ‘persons of interest’ in arson, suspicious death investigation

Published:

The Prince George RCMP released photos of three "persons of interest" in an ongoing arson investigation.

Mounties in northern B.C. are trying to identify two women and one man who are “persons of interest” in the investigation of an arson at a home where a dead body was found last year.

On the night of Sept. 27, 2024, officers were called to a house fire on the 2000 block of Quince Street, a news release from the Prince George RCMP said.

“When investigators entered the home, a deceased person was located inside. The death has since been deemed suspicious,” according to police.

At the time of the fire, Mounties described the home as “known to police.”

The investigation was taken over by the Serious Crimes Unit, and the detachment released three photos and an appeal for information Thursday.

“Police officers are now seeking to identify several people who may have information related to this investigation. We are asking that if anyone has information on who these people may be or where they are located, they call the Prince George RCMP,” spokesperson Cpl. Jennifer Cooper said.

Anyone with information is urged to call police at 250-561-3300. Anonymous reports can be made to Crime Stoppers by calling 1-800-222-8477.
