Police in Maple Ridge, B.C., are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying three people linked to an incident involving a playground structure being set on fire almost a month ago.
According to a statement issued by Ridge Meadows RCMP Thursday, the arson occurred on the evening of Jan. 29, at a playground in the 21100 block of 123rd Avenue.
The playground structure sustained significant damage, with repairs expected to add up to around $70,000, said police.
Nearby CCTV video obtained by police shows three young men exiting a black, two-door vehicle.
Anyone who may have information relating to the incident, have relevant dashcam video, or who may know the people captured in the footage, is asked to call the police.
“Police have already conducted extensive video canvassing in the area,” said the statement.
“In the event that we have not spoken to you and you have video surveillance that may be useful, please contact the Ridge Meadows RCMP directly at 604-463-6251 and refer to file RM2025-1911.”
