A 24-year-old is in critical condition after a collision with a tractor-trailer early Saturday morning in Burlington, provincial police say.

The collision happened around 4 a.m. in the Toronto-bound lanes of the Queen Elizabeth Way near North Shore Boulevard.

Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) say a “car disabled in a live lane” was struck by the tractor-trailer.

The truck driver did not sustain any physical injuries.

Burlington OPP say they expect to reopen one of the left lanes by noon.
