Two dead, two with serious injuries, after Orangeville crash

Ontario Provincial Police said two people have died and two others suffered serious injuries after a car slammed into a tree west of Orangeville Saturday night.

Police said the accident occurred shortly after 7 p.m. on 2nd Line in the township of Amaranth, Ont.

Four individuals were in the car at the time of the accident. The two survivors of the crash were rushed to a local hospital. Police said one occupant suffered life-threatening injuries.

The rural road was closed Saturday evening as police investigated.

Police have not said what caused the accident.
