Police say they are looking for two suspects following a drive-by shooting in Brampton on Friday afternoon.
According to police, the 25-year-old victim was on Kirk Drive in the Williams Parkway and Chinguacousy Road area when the two suspects drove past him in a vehicle and opened fire.
Police say the victim was not struck by the initial barrage of shots but sustained a gunshot wound to his lower body as he ran away.
The suspects then fled the scene in the vehicle. Meanwhile, the victim was taken to hospital in non-life threatening condition where he was treated and released.
Both suspects are described as black males with light complexions. The vehicle is described as a silver, early model, four-door Hyundai.
Police are urging anyone who was in the Kirk Drive area at the time of the shooting or who may have information on the suspects to come forward.
The suspects should be considered armed and dangerous and should not be approached, according to police.
