A significant stretch of the Yonge-University-Spadina line will be closed this weekend for signal upgrades.

There will be no train service between Bloor-Yonge and St. Andrew stations Saturday and Sunday. Regular subway service will resume Monday at 6 a.m.

The TTC says it will have shuttle buses running between Rosedale and King stations and then over to St. Andrew Station.

Because the TTC's Union Station stop will be closed, people will be unable to walk from the subway station to the main train station.

Wheel-Trans buses will be available to people who require them.

As an alternative, customers can use the 504 King or 505 Dundas streetcars to get downtown, the TTC says.

The same closure will be in effect the weekend of April 5 and 6.
