Man sent to hospital after shooting in Scarborough

A man in his 20s has been sent to hospital following a shooting in Scarborough early Sunday morning, police say.

Police say they were called to the area of Birchmount and Comstock roads, east of Warden Avenue, at around 5:40 a.m.

The victim was rushed to the hospital with serious, non-life-threatening injuries, police say.

No suspect information has been provided at this time.

The investigation is ongoing.
