It must have been “luck... or something” that at the same time Hilary Duff wore a Joe Carter jersey, the Blue Jays won their third straight game against the Boston Red Sox. The pop singer performed at the RBC Amphitheatre in Toronto Wednesday night for her first of two dates in the city for her “lucky me” tour. At one point during Wednesday’s show, the “Why Not” singer sported a vintage jersey that she said belonged to her sound engineer and tour manager, who apparently bought that piece of Carter memorabilia when he was eight years old. “Thanks for letting me sweat in your jersey tonight,” Duff said with a smile. The singer went on to say how “fun” it has been to be able to represent herself during this tour in various T-shirts, and share a part of herself. “I know this one really means something to you guys, so, very proud to wear it,” Duff said. A few blocks east of the RBC Amphitheatre, the Blue Jays were playing the Boston Red Sox. The game ended with the Blue Jays topping the Red Sox 6-4 after a five-run eighth inning. Both the Blue Jays and Duff play in Toronto again on Thursday. The Jays wrap up their series with the Red Sox this afternoon while Duff will hit the stage at the RBC Amphitheatre at 7 p.m.
