A underground pipe ruptured and sent water gushing out of the ground like a geyser in Toronto’s east end on Saturday morning.

After the pipe ruptured and created a hole in the ground, water shot several metres into the air and sprayed a townhouse complex on Kingston Road, just east of Galloway Road.

The water main break occurred in a parking lot outside of the complex.

City crews responded and turned off the water supply.

Crews are now beginning repairs of the broken water main.
