I Tried Conair’s New Cordless Heated Brush, And It’s My Secret Weapon To Hair Touch-Ups On The Go

As someone who likes to experiment with their hair, I have tried my fair share of styling tools. From crimpers to curling irons, I’ve given pretty much everything a shot, but even my favourite styling tools are too bulky to bring with me on the go. When a windy afternoon rearranges my curtain bangs or the humidity makes my hair a little frizzy, I have to fend for myself, and oftentimes my fingers don’t deliver the results I crave.

That’s why when Conair’s new Cordless Heated Brush dropped in Canada, I knew I had to give it a whirl. Spoiler alert: It’s been a total game-changer for me.

My experience using the Conair Cordless Heated Brush

The Conair Cordless Heated Brush is small, lightweight, and glides through the hair with ease, as long as it’s not too tangled. The ceramic bristles are surrounded by thick plastic ones that not only help guide hair evenly through the brush, but also act as a safety barrier so you don’t burn your fingers. I find that adding a bit of tension with my free hand really helps ensure my hair is touching all sides of the ceramic bristles.

It’s simple to use, with a single power button on one side and a USB-C charging port on the other. It only takes about a minute and a half to heat up, and lets me know with a quick beep and a solid power light.

It’s great for smoothing frizz on the fly, but what I was really excited to use it for was re-styling my bangs when I was out of the house and far away from my trusty styling tools. I find it to be the perfect size to really catch all the hair in my bangs and face-framing pieces, making it easy to re-style them when they become askew, which, to be honest, happens every time the wind blows them out of place. In just a few minutes, I was able to completely fix them after a windy day out at a farmer’s market

The brush has two heat settings, 160°C and 182°C, which can be switched between by pressing the power button once the brush is on. Since the hair around my face is thinner and a little more delicate, I like to use the 160°C setting. When I want to tame frizz, I turn up the heat. It is worth noting that this tool is for touch-ups; I wasn’t able to style my strands from scratch, but for smoothing frizz and re-styling the hair around my face, it’s been great.

The bean-shaped tool fits comfortably in the palm of my hand, which means it also fits in my bag, even when it’s fairly stuffed. I think it would be great to take on weekend trips for quick style refreshes, as well as abroad for hassle-free styling since you wouldn’t have to pack an adapter.

Since I only use it for quick styling touch-ups, a full charge lasts me a couple of weeks. I love that I don’t have to plug it in every day, though I might find myself charging it more as the humidex rises.

Is the Conair Cordless Heated Brush worth it?

The Conair Cordless Heated Brush is different from any other hair tool I have, or have tried. If you’re looking for a quick and easy styling solution for summer that doesn’t take up too much space in your bag, it’s definitely worth it. Its small size, rechargeable battery, and user-friendly design make it a real must-have.
