Police are continuing to look for an inmate who escaped a minimum-security institution north of Saskatoon.

Officials say the Willow Cree Healing Lodge was notified just before noon on Tuesday that 30-year-old Leroy Desmond Daniels had escaped during an escorted temporary absence in Saskatoon.

Daniels is described as five-foot-seven, 177-pounds, with a medium complexion, brown eyes and black hair. He has “LOYATIY” tattooed above his left eye, a rose on his left forearm, a “306” tattoo on his left hand, and “LOVE” tattooed across the fingers of his left hand.

Officials say he is serving a four-year, seven-month and 23-day sentence for two counts of robbery, among other offences.
