The Wildlife Festival from Calgary is offering an exotic animals experience in Regina this weekend, with more than 50 critters from around the world.
Kangaroos, an anteater, and a big tortoise are just a few of the animals on display at the REAL District.
The group is an animal rescue and proceeds from the show go to supporting animal care and upkeep. It’s also a platform to teach people about wild and exotic animals not usually found on the Canadian prairie.
The event has four sloths, including two adults named Dora and Dizzy.

“They are naturally upside down, including all of their internal digestion and everything like that,” explained Wil Denhertog, assistant manager for the Wildlife Festival.
“That’s why you always see them hanging, they kind of hang in a croissant shape and that’s their natural position. And if you see them crawling, it’s mainly just to get to another tree so they can hang upside down some more.
The festival began on Friday, and will continue on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and on Sunday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
