New data collected from the Angus Reid Institute shows that Saskatchewan Premier Scott Moe’s approval rating has fallen to 49 per cent.

Moe’s previous approval rating was 52 per cent in December 2024.

According to the March 2025 online survey, Moe was one of two premiers to see their approval rating drop, the other being Manitoba’s Wab Kinew, who has the second highest rating at 65 per cent.

According to the poll, out of the nine premiers rated, Moe’s 49 per cent ranks sixth highest.

Newfoundland and Labrador’s Andrew Furey had the highest approval rating at 68 per cent and saw a 22-point increase from Angus Reid’s previous survey. Quebec’s Francios Legault had the lowest approval rating at 38 per cent.

Angus Reid noted that many provincial leaders experienced a “Trump bump” in approval, as threats from the U.S. weigh heavy on the minds of many.

Throughout his time as premier, Moe’s highest approval rating on the Angus Reid poll was 65 per cent, in March of 2019 and 2020. His lowest approval rating in the poll was 43 per cent in September of 2021.

Regarding Moe, 18 per cent of respondents said they strongly approved of him, 30 per cent moderately approved, 17 per cent moderately disapproved, 32 per cent strongly disapproved and three per cent said they were unsure of their assessment of the leader.

The Angus Reid Institute conducted the online survey from March 13-16 among a representative of 4,009 Canadian adults who are members of the Angus Reid Forum. In Saskatchewan, 357 people took part in the online survey with a margin of error of +/- 5 per cent.

Angus Reid says discrepancies or in or between totals are due to rounding.
