Police in Brockville, Ont. are asking residents for tips following a smash-and-grab theft at the Shoppers Drug Mart on Parkedale Avenue over the weekend.
According to police, two suspects smashed a window at the store and grabbed “a large quantity of high-end fragrances,” at around 4:15 a.m. Sunday. The suspects drove away in a white BMW before police arrived.
“The suspects were in the store less than two minutes,” Brockville police said.
Police said this is similar an incident reported on March 2, when two suspects broke a window at the same Shoppers Drug Mart and stole approximately $40,000 worth of perfumes.
It’s unclear if these incidents are linked or involve the same two suspects.
Anyone with information is asked to call the Brockville Police Service at 613-342-0127 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
Perfume and cologne thefts have been reported in other parts of eastern Ontario in recent weeks, including Carleton Place and Arnprior.
