Two killed in marine collision

CTV Ottawa: Sea-Doo crash kills 2 near Petawawa Police investigate the deaths of a man and a woman who crashed their watercraft on a patch of rocks on the Ottawa River near Petawawa.

Ontario Provincial Police say two people died late Sunday night in a marine crash on the Ottawa River.

The fatal collision was reported around 10:16 p.m. Sunday after a boat crashed into rocks near Dow Island in Petawawa.

The victims have been identified as Zachary Lapointe, 20, of Pembroke and Tiffany Burgess, 25, of Petawawa. Both were pronounced dead on scene.

The investigation is ongoing.
