The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) is asking the public for help identifying a suspect involved in a hit and run collision involving a pedestrian on Highway 417 in Ottawa Thursday afternoon.
It happened shortly after 5 p.m. on the highway eastbound near Parkdale Avenue.
“The driver was involved in a collision and tried to flee the scene, striking the other driver while they stood outside their car,” the OPP said in a post on X.

Paramedics did not respond to the scene, according to the Ottawa Paramedic Service.
The suspect is described as a man in his mid 20’s.
His vehicle is described as a white sedan, possibly a Chevrolet Malibu, with Quebec plates.
