Second person charged in August 2024 homicide in Kingston, Ont.

Kingston police say a second person has been arrested and charged in connection with a homicide last summer.

The incident took place Aug. 4, 2024, at an apartment on Cassidy Street. The victim, 34-year-old Jordan Greene, had been stabbed and died in hospital.

The first suspect, 19-year-old Keenan Gould, was arrested the following day and charged with second-degree murder.

Police said at the time that the victim and the accused did not know each other but had been attending a gathering at a mutual acquaintance’s apartment prior to the incident.

On Wednesday, Kingston police said in a news release that their investigation led to the arrest of a second person.

Seth Snyder-Stokes, 20, was arrested Tuesday and is charged with manslaughter and three counts of breach of probation.

“Investigators believe there may be individuals with information that could assist in the investigation and are encouraging anyone who may have witnessed the incident or who may have relevant information to come forward,” Kingston police said in a news release.
