Ottawa travellers will be able to fly year-round from the capital to Las Vegas and Fort Lauderdale, Florida on Porter Airlines.
In November, Porter launched a new winter seasonal route from the Ottawa International Airport (YOW) to Las Vegas Harry Reid International Airport (LAS), with flights four times a week.
A Porter Airlines spokesperson confirms to CTV News Ottawa that Porter has extended the Ottawa-Vegas route to year-round.
“I can tell you that we’ve seen positive bookings on YOW-LAS and it has been extended to year-round service,” Porter said in a statement on Wednesday.
The Porter Airlines winter schedule sees flights offered between Ottawa and Las Vegas on Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday.
Porter says it is also extending the Ottawa-Fort Lauderdale service to year-round.
Porter Airlines offers several flights out of the Ottawa International Airport, including to Las Vegas, Orlando, Tampa, Fort Lauderdale, West Palm Beach, Newark and Boston, along with several Canadian destinations.
The airline says it is still in the process of confirming its summer schedule.
