An eastern Ontario driver was stopped Friday after being caught pulling a trailer with improper tires in the township of Drummond North Elmsley, according to the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP).
Police say the driver was stopped after a member of the OPP Save team noticed a trail of tire debris on McPhail’s Road.
Police note that the trailer didn’t have a licence plate, and the driver did not provide proof of ownership. The driver was issued warnings for those infractions.
They are also facing a $110 fine for the improper tires.
Drummond North Elmsley is a rural township in Lanark County, located on the Rideau River between Perth and Smiths Falls.
