No one was hurt in a large fire at a propane distribution company in St-Isidore Tuesday evening.

Office staff at Levac Propane noticed sparks coming out of the tank refurbishing building and called 911. Firefighters from The Nation Fire Department and Casselman Fire Department responded to the call.

The Nation Municipality Fire Chief Tobias Hovey tells CTV News the fire was contained to the attack of the tank refurbishing building.

At its peak, 45 firefighters were on scene to battle the fire. It was under control about two hours after the initial call.

Hovey says “we are fortunate that at this location we have installed a water source in an unused quarry for water supply and were able to run high volume hoses to supply the trucks to combat the fire."

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
