Gatineau driver receives 2 tickets in 11 minutes for running a stop sign

A Gatineau driver is facing more than $600 in fines after being stopped twice in 11 minutes for running the same stop sign.

Gatineau police say an officer stopped a driver twice last Tuesday for failing to stop at a stop sign at the intersection of Saint-Joseph Boulevard and Saint-Jean-Bosco Street.

“He hadn’t seen the sign…both times,” police said on X.

The driver received two tickets worth $336 each and three demerit points for each offence, police say.
