A family member’s Tuesday trip is on hold after a G2 driver was stopped for speeding on an Ottawa road during their lunch break.
The Ottawa Police Service’s Traffic Escort and Enforcement Unit says an officer spotted a driver going 138 km/h in mom’s truck on Limebank Road near Tom Roberts Road on Monday.
The speed limit is 80 km/h.
“Vehicle impounded, court date, suspension and a family member’s Tuesday trip departure on hold,” police said.
The charge of stunt driving includes a 30-day licence suspension and the vehicle is impounded for 14 days.

A G2 driver was charged for stunt driving on Highway 416 last weekend.
Police say a 17-year-old driver, driving his friend’s father’s car, was observed going 156 km/h on the highway near West Hunt Club Road.
