Dunrobin Distilleries announces price reduction on its spirits

Dunrobin Distilleries announced on CTV Morning Live it is lowering prices on a range of its spirits.

Dunrobin Distilleries is lowering prices on a range of its spirits as a “thank you” to its customers and to respond to uncertainty in the liquor industry amid the ongoing threat of a tariff war between Canada and the United States.

“We want to give back to the community. This community has been incredible to Dunrobin; the support has been phenomenal,” Adrian Spitzer, CEO and co-founder of Dunrobin Distilleries, told CTV Morning Live Tuesday morning.

The Vankleek Hill distillery announced the price reduction on Monday, ahead of the United States implementing a 30-day pause on tariffs on Canadian products. Premier Doug Ford had ordered the LCBO to remove U.S. alcohol from shelves in response to the tariffs, but the measures were paused.

“This price adjustment comes at a time when North American spirits are facing the uncertainty of incoming tariffs, which could impact the availability of American-made products on shelves, including the LCBO,” Dunrobin Distilleries said in a statement.

“We believe this is the right moment to ensure that our locally crafted offerings remain accessible, especially as industry conditions may change.”

Spitzer says the LCBO supported the plan by Dunrobin Distilleries to lower prices, including reducing the cost of a bottle of its whisky by $10 and gin will drop $2.

“We’ve been able to negotiate better terms with our suppliers because our volumes have gone up and we’re announcing here today that we’re going to pass on those savings to our customers,” Spitzer said. “To let them know that we need to bind together, we need to work together to support. We’re lowering prices on our most popular products in response to uniting our communities.”

The cost of the Dunrobin Distilleries “The Silver Pickle” vodka is now $10 cheaper.

“This is just our response to show that we can work together. Because of the support we have, this has enabled us and empowered us to do this,” Spitzer said.

Spitzer says Dunrobin Distillers are “big believers” in supporting the local economy and use all natural products.

“Everything that we’re producing is made with a tremendous amount of passion. Everything is Canadian, most of it is Ontario,” Spitzer said.

“It’s very important for us that you work with your local community, we buy from our local community, we live in our community, we spend in our community. There’s never been a stronger time for us to bind together as Canadians and work together and support local.”
