2 people facing charges in connection to Barrhaven homicide

Two people are facing charges in connection to Ottawa’s first homicide of 2025.

Wilson Sabarros, 58, of Ottawa was found dead inside a home on Pondhollow Way in Barrhaven on Friday, Jan. 10.

The Ottawa Police Service said the man was pronounced dead at the scene.

On Friday, police said 28-year-old Mia Tejada and 26-year-old Omar Assaad are jointly charged with first-degree murder.

The two suspects will appear in court on Friday.
