One man was sent to hospital following a weapons incident in Timmins’ north end early Sunday morning.

In a brief phone interview with CTV News, the Timmins Police Service (TPS) confirmed officers responded to a weapons complaint shortly before 3 a.m. in the area of Borden Avenue and Waterloo Road and one male was transported to the Timmins and District Hospital by ambulance with non-life-threatening injuries.

There was a heavy police presence in the area – including several Ontario Provincial Police vehicles.
