One man was sent to hospital following a weapons incident in Timmins’ north end early Sunday morning.
In a brief phone interview with CTV News, the Timmins Police Service (TPS) confirmed officers responded to a weapons complaint shortly before 3 a.m. in the area of Borden Avenue and Waterloo Road and one male was transported to the Timmins and District Hospital by ambulance with non-life-threatening injuries.
There was a heavy police presence in the area – including several Ontario Provincial Police vehicles.
Photos posted to a local social media page show a TPS forensic vehicle was still near the scene as of 11 a.m.

Police said the investigation into the incident is still ongoing.
