North Bay pedestrian dies after collision with motorcycle

A 61-year-old who was airlifted from North Bay to Greater Sudbury after being injured in a collision with a motorcycle has died, officials said Friday.

The pedestrian in last Friday’s collision in North Bay involving a motorcycle has succumbed to his injuries, police say.

The 61-year-old man died April 15, North Bay Police Service said in a news release Thursday.

Emergency crews were called to the scene at First Avenue West and Cassells Street around 11:30 a.m. April 11.

“As a result of the collision, the pedestrian was transported to hospital and later air-lifted to Sudbury by Ornge Air Ambulance,” police said.

The collision is still under investigation.

There is no word on if any charges are pending.
