Disgruntled Toronto Maple Leafs fans have become as good at finding creative ways to display their frustration as the team has at finding new ways to lose.
The latest is a parody video that has been watched a quarter of a million times on YouTube.
Titled "(Maples Leafs) Love to Hear the Boos," the send-up of a Rihanna-Eminem song is a tale of a poor Leafs fan forced to keep team-pride hidden because of his Montreal Canadiens' loving girlfriend.
"I can't tell you if they'll win again/I can only tell you what they're golfing in," the protagonist raps.
The Leafs are mired in yet another season where mediocrity would be considered a compliment. While they won Thursday, the previous night they were hammered 7-0 by an injury-plagued New York Rangers -- an anemic effort showing why they are all but guaranteed to miss the playoffs for a sixth straight year.
The song, by Mc Hole Five from hockeygods.com, takes a few shots at Toronto Maple Leafs GM Brian Burke -- the supposed saviour of the franchise that hasn't won a Cup since 1967.
