Road closures for construction on Bonaventure Highway for the rest of the year

Drivers used to taking the Bonaventure Highway (A-10) in Montreal will have to get used to traffic as construction has started and will last until the end of the year.

The Jacques Cartier and Champlain Bridges Incorporated announced that an array of work will take place on the stretch of road in Montreal’s Southwest borough until December.

Peel Basin to Victoria Bridge

Until December, one of three lanes will be closed on the highway between the Peel Basin and Victoria Bridge as crews repair the roadway and replace deck joints.

Clement Bridge sector

Starting in April, one of two lanes will be closed between the Bonaventure Expressway and Highway 15 for planning and paving work in addition to touch up concrete surfaces.

Nuns’ Island sector

For seven weeks, from April to June, the Nuns’ Island exit (5) on the highway towards the Samuel De Champlain Bridge will be closed to repair the road surface.

There will be a detour via Gaétan-Laberge Boulevard.
