The Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food (MAPAQ) along with the City of Montreal’s Food Inspection Division, is warning the public not to consume several varieties of tofu sold by Les aliments Wah Hoa.
MAPAQ says the products were not prepared or packaged in a way that ensures their safety.

The affected tofu products were sold refrigerated in various establishments across Quebec until April 24, 2025.
According to the agency, the recall is a precautionary measure.
“People who have one of these products in their possession are advised not to consume it,” MAPAC said in a press release.
“They should return it to the establishment where it was purchased or discard it. Even if the affected products do not show any signs of spoilage or suspicious odor, their consumption may pose a health risk.”

MAPAQ noted that no cases of illness related to the products have been reported to date.
