Police ask for help finding missing Varennes woman

MONTREAL - Police are asking for help in locating Geneviève Coulombe, 24, who disappeared from her home in Varennes Friday morning at 8 a.m.

Neighbours, family and police scoured the area near her home on Grosbois Ave. without finding any trace of the woman Friday.

Coulombe, who has a mental age of a 10 to 12 year old, is considered unlikely to have departed in a taxi or bus, but her mother said that she enjoys very long walks and going to the library, movie theatre (including the Guzzo Taschereau and DIX30) as well as the ice cream store.

Coulombe stands 5’0” (153 cm), weighs 91 lbs (41 kgs) and has brown hair and blue eyes.

She was last seen wearing beige sandals and carrying a small brown purse.
