Police are investigating after a man was kidnapped from a hotel bar in the Eastern Townships.
Around 11:30 p.m., a group of men stormed in to the tavern attached to Hotel Montcalm in Farnham and began threatening a patron, eventually forcing him to leave with the men.
The patron complied and several hours later, he was released, safe and sound.
The Surete du Quebec says it is still unclear if the victim and the suspects knew each other.
Police would not confirm whether the victim was the one who called cops to say he had been released.
The 38-year-old victim is not cooperating with the investigation.
