A man has been arrested in the Montreal area in the case of a python that killed two young boys in New Brunswick.
Lawyer Leslie Matchim told The Canadian Press that Jean-Claude Savoie was arrested in the Montreal area Thursday.
Matchim says he spoke with Savoie but doesn't know what charges his client may face.
The boys were killed in Campbellton in August 2013 after an African rock python escaped its enclosure inside Savoie's apartment where they were staying for a sleepover.
Noah Barthe, 4, and his brother Connor Barthe, 6, died of asphyxiation by an African rock python on August 5, 2013 in Campbellton, a coroner later confirmed.
At this point no charges have been laid, according to the RCMP in Campbellton.
