A heavy rainfall warning is in effect for Montreal, Laval and across southern Quebec on Sunday.
Environment and Climate Change Canada (ECCC) said there is up to 40 millimetres of rain expect to fall until the afternoon.
The warning includes the entirety of southwestern Quebec and stretches as far as Trois-Pistoles in the Bas-Saint-Laurent region.

“A weather system will move across the province of Quebec throughout the weekend. It will give significant rainfall amounts across the province,” the warning reads. “Heavy downpours can cause flash floods and water pooling on roads.”
Authorities are advising drivers to slow down and watch for tail lights and be prepared to stop.
