Officers from Quebec provincial police (SQ), along with the RCMP and Montreal police, carried out an operation that led to the arrest of five individuals for drug trafficking in Montreal and the Montérégie region on Wednesday morning.
Eddy Jesen Moreau, 33 years old from Candiac; David Lamady, 40 years old from Montreal; Julie Lavoie, 44 years old from Montreal; Burt André, 40 years old from Longueuil; and Geneviève Laurence, 36 years old from Longueuil were arrested.
All were scheduled to appear in court Wednesday on charges related to substance trafficking and possession for the purpose of trafficking.
According to police, the operation stems from an investigation launched in 2023. Searches of homes and vehicles that same year led to the seizures of nine firearms and nearly 2,200 grams of cocaine.
