Montreal police (SPVM) are investigating a collision between a cyclist and an SUV-style vehicle on Thursday evening in the Ville-Marie borough.
The SPVM said they received several 911 call around 5:50 p.m. reporting the crash at the intersection of Sherbrooke Street and Wurtele Street.
When officers arrived on the scene, they located the cyclist, a 33-year-old man who was conscious but trapped under the vehicle.
A spokesperson for the SPVM said that paramedics were able to free the cyclist, and he was transported to hospital.
The driver, a 32-year-old man was not injured.
According to initial reports, the SUV was at a stop sign on Wurtele Street before making a right turn onto Sherbrooke Street heading east, where it collided with the cyclist, who was also travelling east.
Investigators are interviewing witnesses and the investigation is ongoing.
