MONTREAL—After 20 years, Montreal’s ice canoe challenge will return to the Old Port.
The Feb 23 race will start at the Clock Tower basin and teams will push their way over ice flows and across the frigid St-Lawrence River and Jean-Drapeau Park. Thirty-five teams are expected at the start line, competing for $10,000.
“The variety of conditions will satisfy even the toughest teams and thrill seekers will get their fill,” challenge organizers said in a statement.
