The Woodstock Police Service has arrested a man and seized a loaded handgun following a weekend incident.
On Saturday around 5:30 p.m., police were called to an address on Caen Avenue for reports of a weapons-related incident.
The WPS said the Woodstock Emergency Response Unit was activated and local roads were closed for public safety.
The WPS arrested a 50-year-old Woodstock man, who surrendered peacefully. A search warrant was executed, leading to the discovery of a loaded handgun.
The accused is now facing three counts of uttering threats, careless storage of a firearm, and unauthorized possession of a firearm.
The investigation is ongoing.
