Boil water advisory lifted for St Thomas and area

The city says the order was lifted on Friday after tests showed the water was safe to drink.

Officials in St Thomas have lifted a boil water advisory following a water main break Saturday morning.

The break occurred just after 7:30 Saturday morning on the water main on Centennial Avenue.

That created a large water loss and negative water pressure.

Residents are also being asked to flush their water service in the event of discoloration.

Staff will be flushing water mains to relieve air pockets that may have formed.
