A crippling winter storm that hit Wednesday afternoon has moved out of the area, but some colder temperatures remain.
A blowing snow advisory remains in effect for much of the region with poor visibility and drifting snow on the roadways.
“We’ll reach our high first thing [Thursday] morning, and by the afternoon the winds shift northwest, ushering in much colder air,” said CTV London Meteorologist Julie Atchison. “We have flurries in the forecast as we head into the afternoon.
The London region will be about minus 1 degree in the morning, but that drops to about minus 5 degrees in the afternoon.
Sunshine pokes out again Friday, but it’ll be cold with a high of minus 7.
Bus cancellations/School closures
- All London District Catholic School Boad schools and buildings are closed for the day and all athletic and extracurricular events are cancelled
- All Thames Valley District School Board schools, education centres, distribution centre, EarlyON centres, child care centres, and before/after school programs are closed
