Canadian whisky is being infused with the flavours of holiday desserts -- apples, cinnamon and pecans -- in a new range that’s cheekily called Piehole.
Using pie-flavoured liqueurs, whisky is being turned into dessert digestifs, with flavours like apple pie, cherry pie and pecan pie, complete with ‘notes of buttery pastry and baked pie crust.’
It’s the latest flavoured whisky to hit the market. Canadian brand Crown Royal released an apple-flavoured whisky that uses Regal Apples this fall.
Other flavours that have become popular include honey and cinnamon-infused whiskies by brands like Jack Daniel’s, Wild Turkey, Dewar and Sazerac.
A 750 ml bottle of Piehole retails for $14.99.
