Hundreds of dollars worth of alcohol stolen from Guelph LCBO

Investigators with the Guelph Police Service are looking into another alcohol theft.

Officers were called to an LCBO store on Paisley Road shortly before 9 p.m. Wednesday. An employee told the officers a man walked around the store, picked up several bottles of alcohol and put them in a bag. He didn’t speak with anyone before leaving the store with nine bottles.

The employee said she recognized the suspect from previous incidents.

He is described as a 6’ brown-skinned male with dark features and dark hair. He was wearing a black jacket, black jeans, black shoes and a balaclava and carried a green and beige canvas bag.

Approximately $660 worth of alcohol was taken.

This is the latest incident involving alcohol thefts from LCBO locations in the city. Earlier this month more than 60 bottles of scotch and cognac were taken from a store on Scottsdale Drive. In November, a man was charged after $2,800 worth of alcohol was stolen from the Paisley Road store during two separate incidents.
