A Toronto man is facing charges after the Guelph Police Service said he took two 13-year-old girls to a hotel overnight.

The girls were reported as missing to the Guelph Police Service on Feb. 1. The pair were located by officers and the Guelph Human Trafficking Unit launched an investigation after the girls told police they had been taken to a local hotel by a man they had met through social media.

On Feb. 12, a 22-year-old Toronto man was arrested and charged with two counts of luring, sexual assault, sexual interference and invitation to sexual touching.
